FilmOneFest is a production of the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council.
The volunteers and their participation include:
Robert O'Connor FilmOneFest Co-Director, is a community arts organizer and practicing artist. He has exhibited widely, including solo shows (most recently at New York Studio Gallery) and has participated in several film festivals. He has extensive technical experience with video. He holds an MFA from Vermont College and has taught at SUNY Rockland and the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. He also is a professional framer and currently owns and operates The Painted Frame in Atlantic Highlands. Julie Gartenberg, FilmOneFest Co-Director, holds a BA in Education. She has owned and managed numerous businesses in the printing and health fields. She is a practicing, licensed massage therapist and musician. Kathleen Ligon, co-president of the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council, is the publicist for the Arts Council. Victor Zak is the festival's Food Donations Coordinator with the Atlantic Highlands Food Pantry. He is a contributing editor at the Arts & Leisure News Service, based in Manhattan; a longtime journalist, former movie critic and currently a commentator-host for film series screened in the Jersey Shore area. Lynn Fylak, the festival's Marketing Director, is the Senior Art Director at Christies' Auction House in New York City. Her work has been published and received many awards, including a Certificate of Excellence from the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Mike Scherfen, the festival's Designer and Webmaster, is a 27-year veteran NYC Senior Art Director, now a freelance designer and Watercolor artist. Robert Bond, the Arts Council's Treasurer, is a lawyer and the Broker of Record and Business Manager at Better Homes Realty. Sherilyn Przelomski, FilmOneFest/Chamber of Commerce Street Fair Co- Chairperson, is Director of the Atlantic Highlands Chamber of Commerce office. Betty Johnson, Submissions Coordinator, is a native of Ventnor. She was creator and Director of the Santa Barbara Minute Film Festival in California, which provided a showcase for novice and experienced filmmakers.
Juergen Berkessel and Robyn Stratton-Berkessel designed and developed the FilmOneFest iPad app. They are co-founders of Polymash Inc., a local Atlantic Highlands-based creative agency, specializing in app and mobile web design. Annie Schultz, FilmOneFest Food Vendor Coordinator, is a certified Professional Life Coach. She also has 18 years of experience in mall marketing, management, event coordination, community/public relations, development and fundraising.
